Michael -Kelleher ,-Northumbria -University Web

I joined ϲ having spent five years working in a partnership post as a Practitioner Lecturer for Critical Care providing education and support to students and qualified staff across a variety of ITU/HDU environments. My clinical nursing experience began with an acute surgical post that lead to working in a variety of critical care settings.

Since joining the University I have held a number of module lead roles including an international module delivered in Malaysia and a core skills and knowledge module for Nursing, Midwifery, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy students. I have also acted as a Programme Leader for the Adult field of Nursing.

I am a Personal Tutor providing support and guidance to a group of Nursing students for the duration of their programme.

I hold a long-term interest in simulation based education and its inclusion in the curriculum, which has led to my passion for exploring the development of new ways of enhancing student experiences in both the academic and practice settings using this teaching methodology.
