In my current role I am responsible for theProgrammeleadership of the September 2018 Adult Nursing cohortofapproximately 300 students. This roleincorporates a range of responsibilities relating to programme and module design andmanagement, student support, engagement and enhancement of the student experience as well as quality monitoring and review. From September 2021 I will also be contributing to pre-registration nursing programmes at Glasgow Caledonian University as an external examiner.

I completed my MA at Newcastle University in Sociology and Social research. The focus of my dissertation was decision making in pregnancy following a previous caesarean section using Foucault’s Technologies of Power as a theoretical framework. Building on theoretical understandings of power, I am currently undertaking a PhD in the area of NHS workforce wellbeing and policy implementation which I hope to have completed by 2025.

I have a range of publications including articles in peer reviewed journals, comment pieces as well as book chapters which contribute to knowledge and education of Nurses, Midwives and Allied Health Professionals.
