Dr Kiriaki Massoura

ADSS Kiriaki Massoura Facultystaff 255I completed my BA in English and American Literature, Language and Applied Linguistics at the University of Athens and then spent a year teaching Language and Literature to a variety of students, from 7 to 70 year-olds. In 1995 I completed my Masters in Twentieth Century Studies (English, American and Postcolonial Literature and Film Studies) at the University of Newcastle and in 2001 my PhD thesis on the writing of Margaret Atwood at the University of York. I taught contemporary literature as a visiting lecturer for the University of Newcastle, Centre for Lifelong Learning, and my first academic post was in 2001 at the ELC in the School of Arts and Social Sciences, University of Northumbria at Newcastle. In 2006 I started a new lectureship in what is now the Department of Humanities.
