Dr Zi Qian joined ϲ as a Lecturer in Mechanical and Architectural Engineering in September 2018. Prior to joining Northumbria, Dr Qian received her PhD from Newcastle University in the research field of Subway Climatology in 2017. During her PhD, she has worked two years for an EPSRC project as a Research Assistant in Sustainable Building and Environment at School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape and following next two years on EPSRC project as a Research Associate in Energy optimisation at NewRail, School of Engineering at Newcastle University.
Dr Qian main research interests are in Subway Climatology, Air Quality, Sustainable Building and Microclimate, Low Carbon Thermal Technology, Building Performance Simulation and Numerical Modelling.
